You will be working with companies and organizations to create awesome group events and experiences.



As a Valleyfair Group Sales Account Executive, you will work in partnership with your clients to take advantage of unique surroundings including towering roller coasters and slippery water slides as well as a top-notch culinary team to provide engaging experiences for businesses and organizations, unparalleled anywhere in the Twin Cities. You will be provided with the training and resources necessary to reach and exceed annual sales goals including a company vehicle, networking opportunities, and marketing support.



Responsibilities




  • Develop and manage new and existing accounts within assigned geographic territory or business segment through in-person sales and service calls.

  • Research and cultivate new business opportunities through prospecting efforts including outside events, networking opportunities, and lead development.

  • Create exciting and immersive events for clients onsite through collaboration with sales support team members, culinary team, and park operating departments to ensure event details are properly executed.

  • Develop regional sales plan to detail prospecting and sales marketing tactics with the goal of meeting and exceeding sales incentive plan goals.

  • Adheres to and enforces all Cedar Fair and specific Park policies and procedures, including safety, attendance, and EEO policies, and demonstrates a commitment to customer service in all aspects of employment.


Qualifications


  • 1-3 years of previous sales and business development experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in an independent environment with minimum supervision and deliver against set goals.

  • Valid Driver’s License and driving record in good standing.

  • Advanced written and oral communication skills, experience in sales presentations, superior spelling, punctuation, and grammar.

  • Corporate event planning/organizing is highly preferred.

  • Must be detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment. 

  • Ability to work nights and weekends as required by business and account demands.

  • Proficient in basic business software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and comfortable with learning new software and CRM applications.

  • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.

  • Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education, and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
