A Member Service Representative's primary responsibilities include:

  • Greet and welcome members to the credit union, in a courteous, professional and timely manner, providing prompt, accurate and efficient member transactions.

  • Provide prompt, efficient, and accurate service in processing of transactions.

  • Conducting activities which support the member's financial needs including account transactions, opening new accounts, purchase of monetary instruments, account maintenance requests and research.

  • Promote, explain, and cross-sell other credit union products and services.

  • Ensure that branch policies, procedures, services, and products and documentation meet federal and state regulations.

Recommended Qualifications:

  • High School degree or GED (Associates degree preferred) plus 1-3 years related financial institution/cash handling experience.

  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast-paced, demanding environment with conflicting and changing priorities.

  • Excellent organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills as well as strong attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with tact and confidentiality.
